1.What is the role of a Probation Officer in SBI?

The selected candidates for the PO position will go through a probation period of 2 years, in which they are posted on different branches and subjected to frequent training. The job profile includes learning fundamentals of general banking, marketing, cross-selling, bringing new business and also solving the grievances of the customers coming to the bank.

2.What is the salary of an SBI PO?

The total compensation can be up to 12 lakhs per annum. The total compensation includes Basic salary, Dearness Allowance (DA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Tax, PPF, Leased rent Accommodation (staff quarters), and other allowances.

3.What is the age criteria for the applicants?

The age limit for the applicants is 21-30 years old.

4.What is the required educational qualification?

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the central government. Those who are in the final year (semester) of graduation can also apply.

 5.Are the candidates who completed their graduation via distance education eligible?

The candidates who have completed their degree through distance education, part-time, correspondence or open university are all eligible to apply if the university is recognised.

 6.Is there a minimum pass percentage in degree?

There is no minimum pass percentage required. If you have passed the degree, you are eligible to apply.

6.Are there any reservations for persons with disabilities (PWD)?

Yes. There are reservations for persons with disabilities.

7.What are the limits or number of chances?

SBI has limited the number of chances for a candidate to apply for the position of PO.

8.Is it an online exam?

Yes. Both the prelims and mains of the Common Written Exam for SBI PO will be conducted Online.

9.Is the exam bilingual?

Yes. The tests except for the Test of English Language are available in English and Hindi.

10.What is the application fee?

The application process is done online. The application fee for SC/ST/PWD candidates is Rs.100 and the application fee for all other candidates is Rs.600.

11.What is the selection process of SBI PO exam?

There are 3 steps in the selection process. It is mandatory to clear all the 3 steps to get the job.
