IBPS RRB 2017 - Exam Pattern for all Posts
IBPS RRB is conducted every year for the posts of Office Assistant and Officer. The Officer post further has 3 categories: Scale I, Scale II and Scale III. The selection procedure for each of these posts is different, and hence, the candidate needs to be well-informed about the exam pattern.
- Office Assistant
The selection procedure for Office Assistant post has 2 steps:-
The final selection will be based solely on the score in Mains.
- Office Scale I
The selection procedure for Office Scale I is the same as for Officer Assistant. However, the final selection will be based on the score in Mains and performance in Interview.
- Office Scale II (General Banking Officer)
There are 2 steps:-
Single stage exam
Final selection will be based on marks in both of these rounds.
- Office Scale II (Specialist Cadre)
There is an additional section on ‘Professional Knowledge’ for this post. Other details remain the same.
- Office Scale III
Final selection will be based on marks in Single stage exam and the Interview.
Things to note
All the exams will be held online.
The tests are all of objective type.
All sections of all tests (except English Language section & Hindi Language section) will be available bilingually (i.e. in English & Hindi).
There will be sectional as well as overall cut offs.
There is negative marking. A penalty of 1/4th marks assigned to that question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
