8 Strategies on How to Prepare for Your SBI PO Mains Exam - 2016

#1 Start with the New Topics

For the Objective Test, the two new topics are Computer Aptitude and Financial Awareness. Start studying for these two topics first. After you finish studying for these two topics, prepare for the topics that were a part of the Prelims Exam, i.e., Reasoning, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. However the questions asked from these topics for the Mains Exam is of a much higher level. Set aside half an hour every day to prepare for the Descriptive Test.

# 2 Make Notes

Make notes of the points that you find important when you are studying. Make separate notes for each topic. This will help you save time while you are revising.

#3 Revise

Revise on an everyday basis. Go through the notes that you have made during the day before you go to sleep. You could also revise certain topics that you find difficult. This will help you to remember what you have studied better.

#4 Check Your Prelim Marks

Take a look at your Prelim Exam marks. If you think that you could have scored better marks in the Reasoning, and Data Analysis & Interpretation section, study hard when you are preparing for the topics in those sections.

#5 Allocate Time for Each Section

Set aside a fixed amount of time for each section, and question in your Objective Test. No matter what, get yourself to stick to the time limit. Don’t exceed the time span that you have allotted for a section, or a question.

#6 Take Mock Tests

Take as many mock tests as you can. This will help you to improve your speed. Make a note of the sections in which you are exceeding the time you have allotted for it. Work on improving your speed for these sections.
